The stick of butter has been around for many years and is used in a host of various recipes. Knowing what it weighs is important.
How much does a stick of butter weigh?
One stick of butter weighs 4 ounces (110 grams).
There are 8 tablespoons within a stick as well.
In the United States butter is sold packs of one pound and a half. There will be helpful markings on the pack of butter indicating tablespoon measurements.
While you are measuring out a stick of butter in the US, you may notice that the butter is a pale white compared to yellow in the UK for example.
This is because most US cows are reared in barns and are not fed on grass. Grass contains beta carotene and is responsible for butter having its yellow color.
