The boxer is a German dog originally bred from the British Bulldog for the main purpose of security.

Although they were originally bred to be guard dogs, they were not very successful as working dogs.

That said, they are very loyal and will fiercely protect their master and their home.

Boxers are part of the Bullenbeisser family which were originally bred to hunt boar and stag. The Bullenbeisser is now extinct.

A boxer will live an average of 10 years.

It is thought the name “Boxer” comes from the fact that they like to stand on their hind legs and box.

They are known to be playful and to like goofing around.

It takes around 3 years for a boxer dog to become fully mature, which is the longest for any dog breed.
